Ride for a Child Central Texas

Our ride raises money for local Central Texas area child abuse awareness and prevention programs. Child abuse is a huge problem, and we want to end this senseless cycle of violence in our communities.

In 2024, we will be hosting our 10th Ride for a Child event in Central Texas. Our Ride will start at the Horny Toad Harley Davidson dealership in Temple, Texas and end at the Pit Stop in Nolanville.

Our Ride For A Child Central Texas 2023 ride date has been confirmed for May 11, 2024. Registration is now open. We look forward to seeing you there.

Meet Our Board Members

Jimmy Wheeler

Jimmy has been our Board chairman since the fall of 2019. He has previously participated in the ride and been our Ride Coordinator. In 2019, he led our ride, and is a Charter Member the current and past Treasurer of the Stars and Stripes Exchange Club of Killeen.

Mark Hyde has been invovled with our ride since it's beginning. He is currently our Ride's Treasurer. He is a member of a variety of organizations that help our communities, and is a Past President and Charter Member of the Stars and Stripes Exchange Club of Killeen.

Starting Point and On-Site Registration Location

Horny Toad Harley Davidson will once again be our starting point and one of our hosting sponsors. They have assisted us in this aspect for several years and we look forward to working with them again this year.

Our Ride's Endpoint, Meal, and Live Auction Location

The PitStop will once again host our endpoint for the ride and provide meals for our riders. We will also have a silent auction and entertainment at this location, as we have done in previous years. We thank them again for hosting and sponsoring us in our Ride.
